Congrats to Will, Dill, and JD on a successful season. They all made it to the consolation semifinals, but were not able to advance. JD will be this year's MVW. Jesse Beaver from Murphy won the State Championship @ 160lbs, (with torn ACL) and was named tournament MOW. Will Bird from Cherokee also won the State Championship @ 189lbs. I'll write more when my eyes can stay open. Thanks for supporting us this year. See you @ Open House on Monday! -Coach Odom

Robbinsville wrestled in the Regional Championships this past weekend. We placed 4th overall, with West Wilkes, Bishop, and Mitchell placing ahead of us. We had 6 kids in the match to go to the state tournament, with three getting through. Josh Davis placed third @ 130, Will Grindstaff placed 4th @ 215, and Dillon Daniels placed 4th @ HWT. (Interesting fact... All 4 qualifiers for the state tournament @ HWT are from the Smoky Mountain Conference.)The State Championships are this weekend in Greensboro, we will be leaving Thursday, around noon.
